Bannerman Resources is an emerging uranium development company with its major project in Namibia. Bannerman is working very closely with communities in the Erongo Region of Namibia and considers the development of Bicycle Empowerment Centres as very positive contributions to community development. Bannerman paid all the costs of shipping our first two containers and further contributed in 2012 at Corporate Sponsor level.

Anglogold Ashanti sponsored the full costs of our first shipment in 2013. They are also working with Bicycling Empowerment Network in Namibia to use our shipment to establish a new BEC in Karibib, Namibia close to their Navachab Gold Mine. This is one of numerous projects undertaken by Anglogold Ashanti in support of the communities impacted by the company’s activities.

In 2012, B4H WA received a grant from Western Australia Department of Environment and Conservation Waste Authority in support of its Cycle Recycle Project which assisted B4H WA to acquire equipment to upgrade its storage and bike repair facilities at High Wycombe (since relocated to Midland). This included storage/shipping containers, a trailer to transport bikes, work-stands, tools and racking and will facilitate more efficient and safe working conditions for our volunteers. The Cycle Recycle project was supported by the Waste Authority through the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Account.

Resource Capital Funds Foundation provided a generous grant in 2014 in support of 2 shipments made that year. June Canavan Foundation also provided funds in 2014 in support of the implementation of an Enterprise Box for Physically Active Youth project, utilising B4H WA container #7.

B4H WA has received two Lotterywest grants. In 2014 to fund the fit-out of a new amenities room at our Midland workshop, vastly improving support facilities for our wonderful volunteer workers. In 2023-23 a grant was used to upgrade fcilities at our Midvale B4H WA Bike Shed, including installation of a mezzanine floor and storage shelving, airconditioning and additional lighting.

David Rattray Foundation made a donation in 2015 and is supporting the establishment of a community bike shop in Rorke’s Drift, Kwazulu Natal, RSA. This project is focussed on providing bicycle transport for children who otherwise walk 2 hours each way each day to go to school.

B2Gold Namibia partnered with RMB Namibia to sponsor the shipment of B4H WA container #9 in mid-2015 to establish a new Bicycle Empowerment Centre in Otavi.

Abercrombie & Kent Philanthropy fully sponsored our container #13 to Bwindi, Uganda.

For container #14 – headed to Diani, Kenya – Base Titanium was implementation sponsor, Aeolius was shipping sponsor and project champion, and Caleb Partners has committed to providing training services for establishment of the container.

World Vision Australia fully sponsored our container #15 to support children in Zambia, and #18 to support children in Malawi.

Orion Minerals fully sponsored container #17 to establish a new Bicycle Empowerment Centre in Prieska, South Africa.

Northern Star Resources made a substantial donation in July 2022 and are providing logistic support for the new youth cycling projects being managed by The Goldfields Y

Foundation Sponsors:

Komatsu provided the shipping container in which we sent our first shipment of bikes to Namibia in October 2011. iCeutica, Stone Ridge Ventures, Genalysis, Intertek, Deep Yellow, amec, Langer Heinrich Uranium (Pty) Ltd and Bright Generation are our Foundation sponsors who assisted in establishing B4H Perth with financial contributions and in-kind support. This support allowed us to set up the association, pay for marketing expenses and running costs, as well as supporting the initial collections.

Corporate Sponsors:

Subsequent to our Foundation funding round in 2011, iCeutica has made additional cash contributions, whilst Minemax and Shaw River Manganese became new Corporate Sponsors to support ongoing expenses related to shipping bikes to Africa.

Rotary District 9455 provided a grant to support the shipping of our #5 container to Lüderitz, Namibia. Lüderitz Rotary Club has partnered with B4H WA and BEN Namibia to implement a new Bicycle Empowerment Centre in Lüderitz.

Perth Integrated Health Clinic is a strong promoter of cycling events in the Perth region. PIHC is partnering with B4H WA to raise the profile of B4H WA in the cycling community.

City of Vincent organises Bike Swap Meets at which B4H WA has been invited to participate. The City also donated participant registration fees to B4H WA.

KPMG have made a cash donation and embraced B4H WA in its corporate volunteering program, supplying teams of volunteers to our workshop on numerous occasions.

Iluka Resources, Woodside Energy, Deloitte, Shell and Ajilon have supplied teams of volunteers to our workshop our workshop as part of their corporate volunteering programs.

Rotary Club of Heirisson partnered with eBIKERS to organise the fundraising rides from Fremantle to Kalbarri in July 2020, Fremantle to Albany in 2021, and Fremantle to Kalgoorlie in 2022. Several club members participated in the rides and led the fundraising efforts.

Pecan Hill B&B in Toodyay provided donated an accommodation voucher which was successfully auctioned at the 2020 Have a Go Day at Burswood Park.

Kiss Catering in Toodyay hosted a fundraising dinner during the Fremantle to Kalbarri eBIKE ride, including donation of cash from the evening takings.

Toll provided transport of a container load of bikes from Midland to Kalgoorlie in August 2022
